Animal Welfare Act - requires the minimum standards of care and treatment be provided for most warm-blooded animals bred for commercial sale, used in research, transported commercially, or exhibited to the public.

Livestock Marketing Information Center - provides economic projections to the livestock industry.

Research Institute on Livestock Pricing - provides and conducts research and educational information on pricing and market structure issues in livestock markets.

Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) - USDA agency that provides leadership in ensuring the health and care of animals and plants, improving agricultural productivity and competitiveness, and contributing to the national economy and the public health.

Center for Veterinary Medicine - FDA agency that regulates the manufacture and distribution of food additives and drugs given to animals.

Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA) - facilitates the marketing of livestock, poultry, meat, cereals, oilseeds, and related agricultural products and promotes fair and competitive trading practices for the overall benefit of consumers and American agriculture.

Texas Animal Health Commission - mission to protect and enhance the health of Texas animal populations by preventing, controlling and/or eliminating diseases and monitoring and promoting animal health and productivity.

American Association of Bovine Practitioners - an international association of veterinarians organized to enhance the professional lives of its members through relevant continuing education.

American Feed Industry Association - represents the animal feed, animal health and pet food industries.

American Horse Council - national trade association of the equine industry.

Animal Agriculture Alliance - non-profit foundation to educate consumers about U.S. animal agriculture and its contribution to the public quality of life.

Association of American Feed Control Officials - basic goal to provide a mechanism for developing and implementing uniform and equitable laws, regulations, standards and enforcement policies for regulating the manufacture, distribution and sale of animal funds.

Ayrshire Breeders Association - founded as a non-profit membership organization by an act of the Vermont legislature in 1878.

Federation of Animal Science Societies (FASS) - formed by the ADSA, ASAS, and the PSA. It seeks to support the common interest and collective good while preserving the identity and providing economical growth to the member societies.

Fur Commission U.S.A. - represents over 600 mink and fox families on over 400 farms in 31 states.

Livestock Marketing Association - provides its members the industry information insurance and legislative/regulatory services which they need to remain viable business.

National Association for Biomedical Research - the only national, non-profit organization dedicated solely to advocating sound public policy that recognizes the vital role of humane animal use in biomedical research, higher education and product safety testing.

National Bison Association - a non-profit association which promotes the preservation, production and marketing of bison, with over 2400 members in all 50 states and 16 foreign countries.

National Cattlemen's Beef Association - the marketing organization and trade association for America's one million cattle farmers and ranchers.

National Chicken Council - the poultry industry's national trade association.

National Institute for Animal Agriculture - mission to be the forum for building consenses and advancing solutions for animal agriculture and to provide continuing education and communication linkages to animal agriculture professionals.

National Meat Association - a non-profit trade association for meat packers and processors, as well as equipment manufacturers and suppliers who provide services to the meat industry.

National Pork Producers Council - the place for pork lovers, pork producers, and anyone who wants to learn more about pigs and pork.

National Renderers Association - an American trade association that promotes the interests of its members who are in the business of rendering transforming waster from the meat industry into useable products for animal feeds and technical use.

National Turkey Federation - the advocate of all segments of the turkey industry.

New Zealand Meat Producers Board - provides livestock producers in New Zealand with information that can improve their productivity and ensure a sustainable future for the land.

Poultry Science Association - a professional organization consisting of approximately 3,500 educators, scientists, extension specialists, administrators, and producers who provide a forum for the exchange and dissemination of scientific advancements as pertaining to or benefiting poultry and poultry products.

United Egg Producers - the national cooperative whose membership produces approximately 80% of the nation's eggs.

U.S. Animal Health Association - a national non-profit organization with approximately 1,400 members who work with state and federal animal health officials, veterinarians, livestock producers, national livestock and poultry organizations, research scientists, the extension service and seven foreign countries to control livestock diseases in the United States.

U.S. Poultry and Egg Association - represents its members in all aspects of poultry and eggs on both a national and international level.
