Mrs. CLINTON) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred
to the Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry
A BILL
To withdraw Federal
land in Finger Lakes National Forest, New York, from entry, location, appropriation,
disposal, patent, or leasing under certain Federal laws.
Be it enacted by the
Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in
Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. FINGER LAKES NATIONAL
FOREST.
Notwithstanding any other
provision of law, all Federal land within the boundary of Finger Lakes
National Forest in the State of New York is withdrawn from--
(1) all forms of entry,
appropriation, or disposal under the public land laws;
(2) location, entry, and
patent under the mining laws; and
(3) disposition under all
laws relating to mineral and geothermal leasing (including the Act of July
31, 1947 (commonly known as the `Materials Act of 1947') (30 U.S.C. 601)).
