Mr. COCHRAN introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred
to the Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry
A BILL
To amend the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946 to remove the
prohibition on the use of funds to pay for newspaper or periodical advertising
space or radio time.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. REMOVAL OF PROHIBITION ON USE OF AGRICULTURAL MARKETING FUNDS
TO PAY FOR NEWSPAPER OR PERIODICAL ADVERTISING SPACE OR RADIO TIME.
Section 203(f) of the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946 (7 U.S.C.
1622(f)) is amended by striking `: Provided,' and all that follows
through `203(e)'.
