for enrollment in the conservation reserve upon the expiration of the Reinvest
in Minnesota contract.

A BILL
To ensure that land enrolled in the land conservation program
of the State of Minnesota known as Reinvest in Minnesota remains eligible
for enrollment in the conservation reserve upon the expiration of the Reinvest
in Minnesota contract.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. ELIGIBILITY OF FORMER REINVEST IN MINNESOTA LANDS TO ENROLL
IN CONSERVATION RESERVE.
(a) ENROLLMENT ELIGIBILITY- The Secretary of Agriculture may not reject
a bid for the enrollment of land in the conservation reserve on the ground
that the land has been out of production if the land has been out of production
by reason of its inclusion in the land conservation program of the State
of Minnesota known as Reinvest in Minnesota.
(b) CONSERVATION RESERVE DEFINED- In this section, the term `conservation
reserve' means the conservation reserve established under subchapter B
of chapter 1 of subtitle D of title XII of the Food Security Act of 1985
(16 U.S.C. 3831 et seq.).
