President-Elect Bush Announces Members of Transition Advisory Teams

The Bush-Cheney team named a slate of advisers for the transition to a Republican administration at USDA and other federal agencies. The advisers will "provide input and related outreach activities" for the transition, according to a press statement.
The USDA advisers include two former secretaries of agriculture, John Block and Clayton Yeutter, as well as the former Democratic chairman of the House Agriculture Committee, E. "Kika" de la Garza and the former Republican chairman of the House Agriculture Committee, Bob Smith. Also among the advisers is Randy Green, editor of this web site.
Former Congressman Bill Paxon will serve as Chairman of the Transition's overall advisory committee. Maria Cino, former Deputy Chairman of the Republican National Committee's Victory 2000, will serve as Executive Director.
