Global Agriculture Theme for St. Louis Meeting

Former Sen. John C. Danforth will chair a meeting May 23-25 of international senior agricultural leaders in St. Louis, MO.  The first World Congress will feature 40 speakers and presenters from around the world.

President Clinton, Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman and House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt (D-MO) have been invited to participate.

"During this unique event it is our hope that brining leaders of world agriculture together to debate key issues will suggest initiatives for substantive and definitive solutions for future generations," said Leonard J. Guarraia, chairman and president, World Agricultural Forum.  The forum is sponsoring the event.

Internationally recognized experts in production, supply, technology, government, academia, transportation, environmental protection and other disciplines will examine links and interrelationships in agriculture.
