Monsanto will give $75,000 to the American Red Cross for rural relief efforts in the wake of the monster tornadoes that struck Oklahoma and Kansas May 4. The company says it hopes other companies will chip in to help the relief effort.
"The rural areas in Oklahoma and Kansas represent communities that are
the foundation of our agricultural businesses," said Mo Foresman, Monsanto
plaints regional business manager. "The May 4 storms have greatly
impacted the lives of these farming community residents, so we felt it
important to pledge support towards Red Cross disaster relief efforts,
We are hopeful our gift will inspire others to rise to this challenge as
well."
