Second Public Meeting on Lamb Checkoff Scheduled

USDA will host a second public meeting Sept. 8 on a potential mandatory sheep and lamb industry checkoff program. A task force has recommended components of the program that will be discussed at the meeting in Aurora, CO.
A task force meeting Aug. 3 in Kansas City discussed options and established recommendations for program components. The components address promotion, research and information and will be presented at the Sept. 8 meeting for industry discussion.
